I've been informed there is more going on than deer hunting.

My mind can't get itself wrapped around that statement. I'm not even sure what it means.

The same lady that took a HUGE wiff off the Tink's bottle. Sombody who will remain nameless told her it smelled "sweet."

Dat won't be a problem BD. Yesterday at work, a guy I've seen but never talked to came into my office and sat down with a cup of coffe. He said "hey Tom, gettin ready for da opener?"

We B.S.'s for two cups of coffee about MN, WI, and MI, deer openers. I think that means.... It's ON!

I'm giddy as a puppy with two peters.

Reminds me of a story wifes friend got married on opener.. My wife was in the wedding she asked me are you going??? I said nope cause theres two weekends in the whole year in MN you dont get married on.. I said its the golden rule and if you do get married on those two weekends you better except people not to show..Momma was not happy,after the wedding she told me some of the brides family didnt even show up.. I was like well yeah told you so..

Yah...my goofy niece (not really goofy) is getting married tomorrow. She asked if I was going to make it and I said yes. She said "WOW, on deer opener?"

I told here it wasn't deer opener. If it was, I would not be attending. and I wouldn't have. I may have caught the free dinner after the ceramony though.

Deb got a freezer pleazer last night. Her first ever with her crossbow !!!! YEAH

Valiant knight pulled her out & dealt with da dirty work ! She did hold the legs for me & clean up afterwards.

My wife's b-day is November 9th. Thankfully, she understands that, while I can celebrate her birthday with her at a different time, I cannot hunt opener on a different day.

Deb was "vibrating", when I got there !!

I got a text, when I was in the grocery store.

"I've got 2 does coming in".

5 mins later, I'm at the checkout & next text comes in.

"I just let her have it". "think the shot was good". "should I go look for the arrow".

I text back, give her 20 mins & then go see if you can find the arrow. I leaving now & should be home about then.

Next text - I'm 2 mins from home.

"found arrow, covered in bright red blood".

I'm home now, run in the house, change clothes, kick the 3 legged dog & fire up the wheeler & head out.

When I reach Deb, I get the biggest, strongest hug possible & am then handed the "bloody" arrow". I check, smile, kiss her & say, "lets go find your deer.

That's the coolest. I hope I get to experience that with Pam again this year, she really gets amped up when she shoots a deer.

It's way funner being around her after she shoots one than it is to shoot one yourself, lol.

My buddy's wife birthday falls during the WI deer season. He told her before they were married that he would only be home for her birday once every 6/7 years. If that was going to be a problem call off the wedding. They're still married, but it does cost him a very expensive night out when he gets home.

Had to take a little break from deer fever for candy gatherin' last night. Every time I saw a Snickers go in one of their tubs, I thought, that will be good on the deer stand!

I will throw out a best buck picture challenge to all. All the losers have to do 10 repititions of the excercise of their choice while chanting the 24HRCampfire name of the winner in front of at least 1 other person. No cheating. I will pick 3 finalists and then we will have a vote. Criteria is best overall picture, buck size is not important. Does can win. Chickenbuck-wear visible in the picture brings added points. Game on and you need to say your in! Deer already shot in 2013 are eligible so New 2 99s wife and Stan (and any others) have a lead....if they play!
