If the 300 Savage barrel is in good condition - good bore and tight threads, I'll take it.

I don't have a rec. to check threads, but the bore has some wear, rifling still good . There are some light dings up by the thread area, not on the threads, but on the shoulder.

I'm interested [preliminary dibs] on the .308 barrel: IF it is a square-thread.

Is it a square thread or a V thread barrel?


I have a 99F in .308 that could use a new barrel. It has a serial number in the 94x,xxx range, with the lever-area safety [no tang safety].


My understanding is that these barrels have the square threads. Thus, that is what I am looking for.

So, what type of threads does it have? If it has the ones my Rifle uses, I'm your man!
