I have an RWS model 48 side cocker rifle. Tonight I was shooting in the basement as usual. After 10 rounds or so, the rifle now won't stay cocked. When I depress the anti bear trap lever (while holding the cocking handle, of course!), the bolt rides forward under spring pressure (I released it gently using the cocking handle). Anyway, it's repeatable. Any ideas where to start looking?

That did it. Is there some cleaning that I should consider doing to the trigger group?

I'd see if I could get the tigger group out then use break cleaner on it, and re oil it.

DO NOT get break cleaner near the chamber seals

Yeah, I wouldn't do that. Not with break cleaner or anything that is combustible.

Sounds like the second stage screw backed out and isn't engaging the sear.
