The Winchester Model 70 LH in 270 is one of my favorite hunting rifles. This one i have had for a while and it has downed every deer i have shot at with it. I love the 270 Win . I replaced the wood stock with a McMillan Edge Classic. Scope is a 3x9 Zeiss Conquest in QD Leupold rings and bases. I will be carrying it a few days this coming season for Whitetail.

My hunting pard runs the exact same rifle, except his has Talley Lightweights and a Zeiss Victory on it. He is partial to his as well.

I still wish they made these rifles i would like to have one in 30-06. I do have a Left Hand Model 70 in 270 WSM, but it is blue . I stocked it in a McMillan Swirly

I have the exact same setup, except for the rings and scope. Mine has Talley's and a Zeiss Victory Varipoint 2.5-10x42 with a #60 reticle. To me, it's the ultimate rifle. It shoots lights out with 130 gr Sierra Game Kings and 53.8 gr of RL17.

Here is it's cousin in 30-06.

I have a lefty stainless model 70 that I bought as a .338. I sent it to Hill County Rifle for a full makeover and changed to a .300 Win. I've got a S&B Klassic 3-12x42 with TDS in Talley LW. It's a sweet zapper, but after the rotator cuff business, I'm kinda wishing it was a .30-06 or .270.

My opinion is, i like the 338 and 06 but my favorite for Big Game Hunting is the 270 Win , Jack had it right a long time back

I have never weighted it since i restocked it, but the edge sure did make it lighter . I will have to weight it .
