I have purchased a Tikka T3 ( timber blued ) in 7x64 Breneke and was wondering if I could fire form brass using 280 Remington, or 270 Winchester brass into 7x64 Breneke?

Any help appreciated

Run 280 brass through a 7x64 FL sizer and trim if need be. I still have a bunch of 280 rem that I was loading for my 7x64mm. I ran into a bunch of 7x64 stuff at a good price ten years back and havent used them since.

Good round that. Had a Ruger 77 chamber for it years back. Gave it to a friend...shoots very, very well.

OK, found some of the old virgin 280 brass I sized.

From L to R
1. New 280 resized in 7x64 FL
2. Prvi fired 7x64
3. New Norma 7x64
4. New 280 resized in 7x64 FL

You'll have to trim the 280 brass to length after FL sizing in a 7x64 die.

I have a CZ550 7x64 and love it. Very accurate.

Rim size differs, FWIW. Dr. Howell's book (p. 487) says you can fireform 25-06 Remington or .270 Winchester brass with inert filler. (No, I don't know how. I have both 7x64 and .280 rifles and keep everything separated.)

I have a Brno 21 1950 round bolt in 7x64 and I appreciate the pictures of the formed brass.
