I have an old Glenfield Model 60 22LR W/ 3/8 Dovetail that is in great shape & shoots the lights out. Even so, I want to mount an inexpensive scope on it. I need suggestions. Thanks

I think it is Nikon that is making a BDC reticle for .22 rimfire ammo. I would like to try one of them

I just put one of these on my Ruger American, $114 at SWFA for the $$ I'm really impressed. 2-7x32 with side focus and target style turrets. Haven't found anything to dislike about it so far. Rich

My vote would be for Leupold 3x9x33 EFR. Buy once and enjoy for the rest of your life. There is no substitute for good optics. You get what you pay for. Good shooting

Nikon Pro Staff rimfire 4x or their rimfire 2-7 My first swim in the "budget" pool and I am very impressed Light transmission, clarity, rugged, great turrets You'll have to just accept plastic turret caps

The leupold 3-9X33 is a very nice scope, inexpensive it is not... particularly considering it is going on a glenfield 60... I would look at the Simmons 22 Mag scopes; there's a straight 4X and a 3-9X... around $40 less on sale and locally they often are.
Centerfire scopes like the above nitrex are set up to be parallax free at either 100 or 150 yards, while rimfire scopes are set up to be parallax free at 50 yards... a much more reasonable range for 22's.

The O.P. mentioned "inexpensive" so I just had to respond. My 10/22 has had a BSA 2-7x 32mm on it since 1997. I wanted to scope it but was low on money so bought the BSA cheap figuring to get a few years out of it before upgrading to some kind of Leupold 'cause I'm a big Leupold fan. The gun's bone stock and only used for plinking, squirrels and has chalked up a few occasional woodchucks. Come to find out the BSA works pretty good for what I do with it. Yeah; it's no Leupold but its been giving good service for almost 17 years now and somewhere along the line I forgot to get going on eventually replacing it unless it craps out on me. When it dies it'll get replaced; till then it can stay.
