Hey, new to this forum but heard there are a lot of great members with a lot of knowledge. I need some advise.
I'm looking for a solid scope for my AR. I would like it to go up to 12x and not break the bank, under 350ish. I know that's probably not enough but what is my best option. thanks for the help

the cheap bushnells are like looking thru a coke bottle I helped a guy sell a some 6-18 or something once. The glass actually looked lightly frosted to me. Your kind of limited at $350.00

If I were in that position, I would most likely scale back the upper power requirement. In the 3-9 and 2.5-10 ranges, there are a lot of very decent options in that price range. Examples include the Leupold Mark AR Mod 1, Burris C4, The Midway Weaver Grand Slam Tactical, and the Vortex Viper HS.
If 12x is an absolute, and you can wait just a bit longer, Sightron has a new line of S1s out, called the S1 Hunter. Within that line, there is a 4-12x40 S1 Hunter Tactical with the Hunter Hold Over reticle. It shows an MSRP of $359.00, so street should be considerably less.

I was not impressed with the Battlezone, much like I have been nonplussed with the majority of the budget AR specific scopes like the Nikon P223. The Leupold Mark AR Mod 1 is the best of the breed, as far as I am concerned, but at that I ignore the BDC markings and just run the mils.

I have the Leupold 2.5 fixed power Ultralight (NOT the scout scope)on my 308 Carbine AR. Heavy Duplex reticle.
Excellent scope for $279.
