Ryan -

Just an FYI. The evercalm is deoderant "like". You don't rub it under your pits. You rub it on the trees etc. around your stand area. Just thought I better clarify before you crawl in to bed and snuggle with your lady friend. lol

I was drawn for a wolf tag this year and missed the deadline for purchasing the license because I was in the hospital. I KNEW I should have bought it right away. frown

I love to tease you about all your high tech hunting trinkets, but this one will be my new favorite.

lol.

Big Jelly has a lot of trinkets but he shoots bigger deer than I ever will. But have no fear, I'll tease him right along with ya. laugh

All the gear is packed and ready to go. I was pretty proud, I really cut back on the stuff to bring up this year. All in all I got packed into 4 large rubbermaid bins. crazy Why do we need all this stuff? grin

I guess next year I'll cut back some more. laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh No I won't.

Told my boys that they best start to looking for summer jobs cause the State Bank of Dad is gonna be drying up with all the stuff they "have to have" for deer hunting.

At this rate it is gonna take a dang delivery van to get out to the wood with all this stuff.

Sure was simpler when I was younger.

And now the girls want womens designed hunting gear...told my oldest's boyfriend that he best start making more coin to keep her in her comfortable hunting ways smile

In the last week my offspring have been discussing in addition to MN deer hunting that we go on a Antelope hunt, an elk hunt, and a island hopping Lake of the Woods ontario side deer hunt....

Not sure I am up for all of that anymore smile

This story could have been a lot more awesome if you didn't tell him that. grin

It may have gone worse then when I convinced my lady friend to take a big sniff of Tink's on Halloween night. grin "Really get it deep" says the fat man..."take a good hard pull, it smells sweet."

She called me naughty words. grin

I was walking the little-guy to the bus-stop this morning. A bunch of deer go running by, chased by a buck.

Me: "Matt, look at the deer!"
Matt: "Daddy, it's too bad you don't have your gun so you could shoot them."
Me: smile

I will take that as a good sign/omen/whatever.....

I like the youthful enthusiasm. They ask stuff that makes you think about what you're doing and why you're doing it "that way".

There were deer tracks all over the place in the snow when I picked up the kids off the bus yesterday. I brought them to church and in the row of pines along the cemetry....a pile of does. Probably hiding from the bucks that have been hauling all over the butts the last couple days.

We may hit this stage of the rut just right here boys.

Only one 12-hour shift left at the hospital, then I am off to Upper Whitefish. I am not exactly focused on work, so I think I'll take the monitored transport pager instead of the rapid/dr blue one.....

Gopher, the pile of crap in that downstairs bedroom is literally twice as big. And the PM is sent.
