Roll the little ones on the branding burner - then salt lightly!
Larger ones are great - breaded, and deep fried.

have eaten them, and I can and will, not my favorite cut of meat though.
I know it comes from using all of the animal back when folks knew what it was to be truly hungry.
but it gives me pause to wonder....when did they stop eatin the cock?
I'm pretty certain when we sing our anthem and mention the land of the free, the original intent didn't mean cell phones, food stamps and birth control.

Years ago a place in town used to serve them as horse's doovers. A couple of somewhat aged tourist ladies seemed to enjoy them with their cocktails. One of them asked the waitress what the things with "the wonderful nut like flavor" were.
