Considering adding a light to an AR and trying for some night calling. Can anyone with experience chime in to any good models/brands or what DOESN'T work, so I can steer clear.
The laser genetics Night Designator is pretty spendy for even the entry level ND3. It's going to be cold up here so I'd need the Sub Zero as well
I have looked at some coyote hunting sites like AllPredators They seem to offer many identical lights like the Wicked and such. A ratings look to be identical for power or lumens.
Please God, give me some good tags this year....

I would also like to know and have the same requirements. Cold wintertime hunting.

I've not done much night time calling, but when I have it was with a buddy who had all the night gear and he used to use the ND5 Sub Zero model and it worked really well. He has since upgraded to night vision gear, but man he's spent a pick-up full of money on that stuff. Talk about spendy.
Laws aren't preventative measures. In other words, more laws won't prevent gun crime from happening.

over on predatormasters they are talking about a few night hunting gears and made some recommendation. NOXX headlamp for shotguns and Wicked Lights for mounting on a rifle scope. There are a couple others sold by allpredators and boondock-outdoors. Go look on their Night Hunting forum and you will see what others have used. Most are selling upwards of $150 but these are the ones that others are using and recommended so as not to buy and junk it looking for better night lights.

Thanks. The $150 not nearly as big a gamble as the $379 for the Night Designator 3s. Same concept, but two different tools.
I forgot about PM forum. I'll go read. Thank you

The sub zero works well as long as you can keep the tube warm. I took it out in low 30 degrees and it would last about 10 minutes

Look at Streamlight! Any picatinny rail mount system will work with them, and they are unbeatable.

I two http://www.sniperhawglights.com/ lights and love them both. They can take two different batteries and have a reach of 100 to 150 yrds depending on terrain..
