I need to finish a build of an AR and need a suggestion on an upper. My thoughts were to get something I can shoot a lot, and possibly kill some varmints. I could spend time researching every component, but I just want to be done with it.
I see a bunch on the interwebs, they all look fine to me but I'm not into the details enough to know where some parts or makers suck.
Can you suggest a complete upper with these parameters: $800-$1200 223 Match grade barrel finished from 20-24" Flat top not A-2 Round hand guard (not tactial/picatinny) Hopefully less than 6.5lbs
Wanted: Vintage Remington or Winchester hats, patches, shirts. PM me if you have something.

Rock River or Noveske, if you want to spend just a little more. JMHO

Fulton Arms is little known but makes a top quality product. My son and I each have a "Predator" -24" SS match grade(probably "Criterion"). Ours can do on good days 3" @ 600yds. I also have an AR-10 which is new and little tried so far but 1/2" At 120 yds is routine. http://www.fulton-armory.com/fariflecal556mmupruniversalprecisionrifle-3-3-2-2-2.aspx You can also customize to a degree-just check the drop down menu.
precision is group shooting, accuracy is hitting your intended target.

surprised nobody suggested www.del-ton.comYou'll spend quite a bit less than $800. I've purchased 4 of their complete kits with excellent results for all. Just assembled one yesterday in fact. The three previous can all shoot MOA with M855 milspec ammo. They offer many different configurations and you can customize the specifics. They shipped my last one fast.

you could look at redx as well. I've had good luck with them, and they are inexpensive
