My hand is up too. I do believe I'll have enough points next year. A buck that size should fit just fine.
Either that or gophergunner is going to tie one up for me

filled my doe tag today. 22/250,53 gr tsx 3400 fps,40 yards quartering away to the left. no exit. bullet broke a couple ribs on the way in,turned lungs into slush, cut two arteries off the top of the heart, and lodged in the off shoulder. she ran about 100 yards or so, shoulder was not broken. entrance wound exit wound no they are not backwards, the smaller hole is the exit. I wont get to recover the bullet until next weekend, when we go back up for the last weekend.

Well I got out today again with the boys. We pushed a little willow lined ditch that we had success on before and would you believe it, we jumped another BIG buck. Wall hanger material. Within 10 yards of where I jumped a buck my brother shot 4 years ago that was a big 5X4. It ran pretty much the same way and pretty soon we heard BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG from my dad. However this time, we werent as successful. he had a running shot at 150 yards and didnt pull it off. Fun to see a big one though. Great rack on that buck.

Congrats Fluffy!
Wind is blowing like crazy over here. Lost power for about 45 minutes this morning.

Hey BM. Is all the "stuff" you guys hunt as grassy and brushy as the terrain in your picture?

A rifle hunt wouldn't be bad thing either. A Wyoming antelope hunt would be awesome too!

Fluffy,
Nice doe! The 22-250 makes 'em dead that is for sure. I shot one quartering to with a 55 gr soft point once and it made a mess of the lungs and off shoulder.
BM thats a great pic with your twins!

Congrats to Kendra, RWS, Ton, BM, Bruin, Fluffy and any others I may have missed. Great times all! As of day 4 we have had 3 bucks on the pole and more miscues than I can fathom. Wild weather...60 mph winds and raining sideways. Been pretty wild but we have 11 days remaining. Good Luck all!
We eat organic in our house, we just have to shoot and gut it first.....

Looks like everyone had great weekends !!
Congratulations to all that got one hangin'.
Crazy weather up, north, here this weekend.
Called for 2-4 inches of the white stuff. Started raining Saturday night before bed & we awoke to 3 inches of wet heavy snow by deer 30 next morning. Kept on snowing all day & by Sunday night we had over 12 inches.
Broke the drive pin on the snowblower, 2 passes in, so had to drag it through the snow to the neighbours shop. 30 minutes later, fully clothed for the conditions, I arrived at the shop door, dripping sweat everywhere !!!!
Quick repair job & back at it.
Thus endeth the northern, north report.
No deer were harmed during the making of this precious moment.
Paul.

Like to see 3" or 4" on the ground for next Saturday, but it doesn't look to promising. Might get a dusting on Friday.
Don't need 12" like you had Paul. Although we did get 16" of snow the day before the opener back in the late 70's. What a mess that was to get around in.

It still sucks actually but the range of movement is improving. In and out of a truck, which I do all day, about drives me through the roof though.
