If I'm using a centerfire rifle, I carry my 4" SW 63 full of LR hollow points. Any other time it's a Ruger sp101 3" in 357. It carries easy and can handly any issue that may come my way in Oregon.

My hiking gun usually depends on how close to the boarder I am. Its usually either my Glock 17 or S&W 28. Im more concerned with two legged problems were Im at in AZ. When Im get north of I-10, most of the illegals are picked up on or before they cross the highway, I usually switch back to my SBH or my MK II with a 5.5-inch bull barrel.

Your post almost begs another thread, "what do you carry while on the border"? I don't know whether to lol or say fcol (for cryin' out loud). <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
