This is a real Marlin, not a Remington Marlin. I purchased this rifle new a long time ago. It is in beautiful condition with only one very small mark on the stock. A tiny dab of brown wax shoe polish would be a quick, (not professional) fix. There are members here, at 24 Hour, that have purchased guns from me that would agree that when I say "beautiful" or "excellent" condition, that is exactly what you would receive. I haven't shot this much but I think these are fast, fun and practical rifles. I don't have any good pictures of the gun but if someone is serious, I can try to take some photos and e-mail them to you.
