Used 44mag short barrel levers are highly sought after. I would think you could get at least $350 for it. Might be better to get the rear sight replaced first. Brownells has an online catalogue. You'll probably find one there.

You must be kidding passing on a highly sought after LTD,16" model because a $2 piece is broken and is as easliy replaced as flipping a light switch.....send me the seller's name...I just sold two for over $425++

Do you still have the LTD 44 Magnum?

I wouldn't dump any topic out of the data base. All topics should stay archived... Users, using the search function, can gain much needed information, without constantly asking the same questions over, and over, again..

I have an 1895 LTD IV that I am particularly pleased with. I like the appearance of the Half octagonal, half round barrel.

I've never come across a blued one priced w/in my comfort zone. It's one of the nicer looking configurations, IMO.

I have four Marlin 1894 rifles as of now. One, is a 24 inch octagonal barreled, 1894CB.

One, is a 20 inch octagonal barreled, 1894 CB.

One was made in 1973, a model named the 1894 Octagon with a 20 inch octagonal, microgroove barrel.

One, my favorite, is a 1894 Limited in 44-40. This rifle is engraved and the receiver is case hardened, with a 20 inch octagonal barrel.

Except for the 1973 year of manufacture, 1894 octagon, the other rifles all have ballard rifling.

However, I would like to have one of the current model, under discussion... I can never get enough 1894's. Does this rifle have a round barrel, or an octagonal barrel? From the box, it looks like the barrel is a round, microgrooved barrel.
