SU35,
Nope, I dont own one yet.
There seems to be a lot to like on the Pro-9. So far Ive just done a little research and fondled a few examples, but the pistol fought its way to my short list. I should say Im a sucker for Browning/FN pistol designs.
Browning's tilting barrel with a Sig lock-up, frame-mounted controls, low bore axis, dovetailed front sight, and a grip thats quite comfortable for a hi-cap nothing real flashy or innovative just a bunch of stuff that works at a good price.
The DA hammer/trigger set-up shows some pizzazz, however. Supposedly the system is modular and can be easily switched out for an SA or DAO set-up. The decocker becomes a safety on the DA version, but Im not sure if the part has to be replaced. The cocked & locked SA version with a single manual safety (ala Hi-Power) doesnt thrill me for daily carry, but the DAO version does and is the version Id buy.
All in all, the Pro-9 looks to be a contender in the mid-size, mid-money market, and Ill bet its a fun pistol to make brass with. Keep us posted if you lay your hands on one.
