Do you mean an adjustable trigger or just a replacement?

Have a 99 with a smooth trigger thought that this wouldn't be original?

Have never heard of an aftermarket trigger for the 99.

What's the vintage of your 99?

Some are better than others.
Then too , 99 triggers can be improved but not many have the know how. I suspect that more have been buggered than have actually have been improved upon.
I have a 99F 358 that would fire upon closing when I bought it , a result of Bubba "fixing" the trigger. Replacement parts were required to put it back right.

Triggers were smooth till after WWI. Excluding the Model 250-3000 which was checkered.

Okay makes sense, this rifle is a 1912 so smooth would be normal. Sorry for the confusion but its the only pre WWI I have. I'm still learning. Here's a pic
