You see them at gun shows for quite a bit more, don't know if they sell them or not, couple hundred bucks is probably pretty close.

Would appreciate a price check on a 40+ yr old 10/22 in new condition sans factory box Finger groove stock? or carbine? Carbine will be walnut and command slightly better price than carbines today. Finger groove Sporter's seem to get $400+ depending on wood and configuration. (Checkering?) Mannlicher?

Thanks Travis , This is a collectable quality piece , I thought it should go a bit higher,Being as new cond' Collectable quality don't mean it is collectable or in demand. There are a Jillion 10/22 rifles out there and available and in mega million configurations. And additionally there are at least twice that many special editions available. Few if any 10/22 rifles are in demand by collectors.
Beware of thieves, scammers and dishonest members on the "Fire" classifieds. Ya there is a thief here too. Whatever!!
They're all around the CampFire and everywhere.

Not sure where it prices out but assuming that new condition means unfired seems to me that something in the $250 to $350 range is more reasonable. Go here: http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/index.phpand find ruger66. He owns Ruger 10/22 serial number 25. If he will talk to you he will know the answer. His collection is amazing!

A Doe walks out of the woods today and says, that is the last time I'm going to do that for Two Bucks.

I'd say 250-300 .... You can buy a new pos 10/22 for 200-225. IMHO the older ones (with walnut stocks) in real good shape are worth more than the new ones. But with that said, none are real collectables. For $200 put it back in the closet.
