what province was that taken in?
myself, I have always had a desire to go after Caribou in Northern Quebec or Labrador... That was taken in the Yukon during a fly-in with my daughter. You'll have to go west to get a mountain caribou. for me I'll have to go north... west by not too far... it will get awfully wet.....and there isn't any caribou.. of any type... Dummy,he was meaning west of Quebec/Labrador.

and I am located in Oregon which would be NORTH for me...Magellan
and I was already well aware of where Mountain Caribou live and that the ones in NE North America are Woodland Caribou...

thanks for both of your posts this morning.... this is really cool stuff... any bear I've taken has been a target of opportunity that showed up while out deer hunting...
even tho deer and Elk tags seem to keep going up in price, a bear and cougar tag are only an extra $10 or $11 each, so many of we hunters in Oregon pick one up also....
would be fun to go on a genuine bear only hunt, along with dogs...
the liberals here managed to get hunting either bears or cougars with dogs banned before I moved here to Oregon back in 95....

The 25-06 is a very versatile caliber, easily a better overall choice than the .243. Hits hard, and is a great varmint rifle.
The .243 is mostly used by women and youth hunters.
