I have for sale another beautiful rifle built by Hill Country Rifle of New Braunfels, TX. The rifle is built on a Remington 700 action with a match grade stainless steel Benchmark barrel: 1:10 Twist, #4, 24" length, 3# jewell trigger on a 13.5" LOP McMillan Hunter stock. The action has been completely squared and trued and is cerakoted in a matte finish. Barrel break in is complete and approximately 60 rounds have been shot through the barrel. The rifle shoots well under an inch MOA with factory loads and .5 inch with hand loads. The rifle is in mint condition has received very light use. I am also including a 24" Kreiger stainless steel match barrel with 1:9 twist, #5 contour with approximately 60 rounds through it. Additionally, I will include dies for both calibers and unfired brass. This barrel was previously on the rifle before Hill Country rebarreled to the .338 Fed round. All gunsmithing work has been performed by Hill Country and I have all original receipts for the gun.
I sold a nearly identical rifle last year to a 24 hour campfire member and this was his response after receiving the rifle "Clint, I picked up the rifle this evening from the FFL. It is even better than I had anticipated. The action is about as good as I have ever felt. The bedding job is tremendous. And of course the Mcmillan stock and Jewell trigger are perfection. I hope to take it to the range this weekend...
Again, thanks for this beautifully crafted rifle....
Tyler".
I am asking $2000 for the rifle and extra barrel. The rifle is topped with a new Leupold VXII 4.5x14 scope with duplex reticle. If you want the scope, include another $400.
Thanks, R
