I inherited 2000 Remington Large Rifle magnum primers. I think they are probably 8-10 years old?? They are in the old white box before Remington went to the green packaging. They have been stored in closets. Are these still ok to use?
I have some 7 1/2 small rifles of the same inheritance and they work fine in my .223
probably just answered my question but what are ya'lls experiences??

Its been my experience that if there kept dry and cool they pretty much last forever.

I just finished shooting up a brick of CCI in the small package without a single misfire. They had to be at least as old as your Remington. Enjoy the inheritance.

I'm currently using a carton of Fed 210's that are approaching 40 yrs old. As long as they are stored properly, shelf life is indefinite.

If stored properly, there is no one here old enough to definitively answer that question.

8-10 years old is pretty young. I have a few thousand (Rem and CCI)that I am currently using which are older than that.
Back in the early 60's, I was given a thousand Remington Large Rifle primers which were said to be pre or just post WWII. They had the old style 2-opening anvils. In the early '70's, I used them up in my .220 Swift and .22-250 and never had one fail. The only problem I have ever had with primers was with some early brass colored CCI's. They all fired, but occasionally the primer cup would split and a small sliver of brass would come free. These were all fired in 2 older M70's and I never noticed any gas blowback.

Still using rifle primers from the '60s. As the boys have said, "Shoot 'em!"

Kept in a warm dry area and they will last. I have some Winchester that are in the yellow box and some Remington that are in the red box, still go bang...
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects
I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....
