Just in time for Christmas!!!

I decided to go a slightly different direction with a project and am selling this very nice matt black Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x44 Rapid-Z 800 riflescope. It is brand spanking new in its original packaging, including OEM Zeiss scope caps.

Please make reasonable offer(s) via PM or send me an e-mail at bushcraftcomcast.net. For pricing reference, the local Sportsman's Warehouse has them on sale for $799.95 plus Tax. I can help you get a better deal.

It will ship within one business day of your funds clearing my bank. Old school cash, check or similar works for me. Buyer to pay shipping and any additional protective packaging, insurance, etc. Please note that I will be posting this on multiple forums and reserve the right to sell this online or offline to whomever I choose.

Thanks for looking!!!

All the best,

Allen

THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION WAS PULLED FROM VARIOUS ONLINE SOURCES:

Carl Zeiss has a long and illustrious history that begins in Germany in 1846. Since their inception, they have been known to be leaders in the world of optical designs and fine mechanics. Purchasing and using a riflescope from the creators of many of the worlds most revered optical and mechanical designs ensures satisfaction, confidence and appreciation for how a truly fine optic can enhance your outdoor experience.

Hunting small game at long distances can prove to be a trying experience when your scope is under-powered or doesnt provide enough light to see under adverse lighting conditions. The decision to mount a variable high powered scope on your receiver doesnt come lightly. When you need to reach out across great distances, the Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x44 Riflescope stacks the deck in your favor.

The twilight performance of this fine scope is notably enhanced by the 44mm objective lens, and then honed to a fine edge with state-of-the-art multicoating on all air to glass surfaces.

Repeatable accuracy is never in question, thanks to the rugged one piece main tube design, and recoil proof engineering. You no longer have to second guess your shot placement, thanks to the 4.5-14x magnification and parallax control features. Surgically precise shot-placement is now possible at distances you could only dream of conquering, with the Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x44 riflescope.

To use a riflescope with your firearm, youll need a mounting base and mounting rings in addition to the scope itself. Bases attach to your firearm and rings attach to your scope. By affixing the scope mounted rings to the rifle mounted base you create a reliable, accurate, and secure sighting system. Proper spacing of the rings, as well as the ring height should be considered to ensure a proper line of sight can be established. This will maximize the value of your investment, and enhance your shooting experience. It should be noted that in many mounting applications, a professional gunsmiths skills will be needed for proper installation.

KEY FEATURES:

 Adjustable objective for parallax correction
Nitrogen purged 1.0" main tube is water and fog proof
1/4 MOA precision adjustments with 43 MOA of elevation travel
4.5-14x44 Configuration offers long-range capability with good twilight performance
Multicoated Lenses: Carl Zeiss MC multicoating on all glass-to-air surfaces for maximum transmission, color fidelity and brilliance.
Legendary Carl Zeiss precision ground optics deliver detailed images with high contrast Rapid-Z 800 Reticle in the Second Focal Plane
The Rapid-Z 800 ballistic reticle is configured with three floating posts at 6, 9 and 3 oclock, with cross hairs. Leading toward the edge of your sight picture from each post is a series of hash-marks that end before they reach the edge of your sight picture. At 12 oclock youll see another series of floating hash-marks. Upon the 6 oclock stadia, there are a number of graduated tick-marks for long-range bullet drop calculation. This design offers a very clear line-of-sight, with a generous view of the area surrounding your target. The tick and hash marks ensure that your point of aim will be your point of impact when targeting at great distances.
This is the 800 yd version of the Rapid-Z reticle; the hash-marks are defined for accurate range-estimation out to 800 yards
Second focal plane positioning: The reticle does not magnify when the scopes power is dialed up.

SPECIFICATIONS:

 Magnification 4.5 - 14x
 Objective Diameter 44mm
 Tube Diameter 1"
 Finish Matte Black
 Reticle Z-Plex, non-illuminated

I thought the rules said that if an item was for sale a price had to be posted.

That being said, Doug at Cameraland just had this same scope with the same reticle on sale for $499.

Bump.

Cameraland is out of stock on these and likely won't get any more of them. They currently have the 4.5x14x50 priced at $650 NIB + shipping and any applicable taxes you may have to pay depending upon where you live.

Offers above $600 will catch my attention.

Thanks for looking!

A PM has indicated that I've evidently caught some flak for not having listed a set price for this scope. No offense to any of you in particular, but here's where I'm coming from...

First, there is no obvious rule about having to put a price on something, leastwise not one that is obviously posted in a sticky. If it's merely a generally known rule then said rule should be posted in a sticky. Otherwise, people like me that have never sold something here (or anywhere online for that matter) won't know they're violating a rule.

Second, I provided FAR more information on the scope than the vast majority of the other sellers on this forum. Prospective buyers are going to research the price for themselves anyway before they make offers, which are invariably going to be lower than the posted asking price anyway. Accordingly, I see no reason why a seller should be beholding to a nebulous rule of having to list a fixed price when a buyer is free to make up their own invariably lower offer, oftentimes much lower offers. That sort of asymmetry is patently retarded. I realize that this is a classified ad forum and not an eBay auction, but we live in a world where the highest bidder wins.

Third, I do not need to sell this but I would like to sell it for a fair price. I bought this on a whim last summer and I'd simply like to use the proceeds towards another Nightforce scope. If this turns out to be a waste of my time by having to deal with low-ball tire-kickers that don't really want to buy it (and/or cant afford it in the first place), then I'll just forget about it and give it to a friend or a nephew as a gift or donate it to one of the local SCI, RMEF, DU or NRA fundraiser banquets. In the meantime, someone who wants a good deal on an excellent NIB scope will surely buy it for what I'm asking.

From where I stand its all pretty simpleif someone wants it, they are going to have to pay a fair market price of at least $600 + shipping...as I've already posted early in the thread, or....they can just go on keeping their panties in a bunch about me not following a stupid "rule" that only the regulars are privy to.

This is not mine, but for reference there's one on ebay right now exactly like the one I'm selling, with 12 bids at $650 with another day to go. Maybe I should increase my list price?

I was just offered $600 + shipping from a guy on another forum.

I told him that if he came up another $50 we'd have a deal. Same goes for anyone here if he decides not to pony up.

The price is set at $650 plus shipping.

Thanks for looking.

Best current offer is at $630 + shipping.

The "buy it now" price is still set at $650 + shipping.

Thanks for looking.

I wish I had seen this earlier so that I could post in the thread. Like Allen said above, he hasn't sold anything here. However, I have dealt with him in the past. He and I only know one another through being members on similar forums and through our postings. Even with that being our only relationship, he did me a huge solid one time a couple of years ago. He is, without question, good to go.
