You win some and... well you know the rest.

It is hard to believe that this season is coming to a close. It is like this every year though. One week you're talking about how far your team might go. The next you are talking about what might have been. The one after that you are looking forward to spring ball and a clean start.

This has been a wild one. And I want to thank each of you for helping to make it so. Each and every saturday this pick'em adds a little spice to an already crazy stressful day for me. I hope each of you has enjoyed the ride so far and that you can catch your breath in time for the Bowl Bonanza in a few weeks.

But we have work to do before then.

Foxbat has an iron grip on the season standings and a couple of us have one last chance to shake him loose. And final season standings lend bragging rights in the offseason. A lot to play for. The last few weeks have been littered with upsets. It's not like we haven't had our opportunities. But who in the hell would have taken San Diego over Boise? UCLA on the road over USC? Well certainly ~someone~ would have... just not me!

Argh. smile

Anyhow this is conference championship weekend. We have a slate of tough ones. This is for all the marbles so study hard and good luck.

It has, once again, been a pleasure gents. smile

Will

Freaking A&M. Should be watching SC and Auburn this weekend. I hope Johnny punkball enjoys his sofa Saturday. :-)

Will, thanks a ton for doing this again. It really made those intense work weeks at Blue way mo' better!

It really has been a pleasure. CFB is a wonderful sport and has some wonderful fans. Every year I watch the guys on this pool put the talking heads on TV to shame in picking tough contests.

One of these years I'd like to make some trips around the country to a few of the best venues just to experience the game day atmospheres.

In the spirit of Roberto Durn,... "No Ms".!

Put this lame horse out of its misery....

Next year, I think it would be interesting to have a second username (one that's not playing for real) that picks JUST the favorites and given points each week,...just to see how well one would do picking the favorites...

Thanks for the good times Will...

Congrats on running a fun pool here Penguin. Thanks again for the boresighter I won last year. My season started out tough this year and I never made it over the hump. Moved up a little just about every week, and sitting in 4th place right now. I'm happy with that.

Congrats to whoever wins this-it's been real fun, once again.

Thanks a bunch, it's been fun. A couple of horrid weeks knocked me on my ass, but if I can hold on for a top ten finish in my first year of picking, I'll be happy.

Thanks for allowing me in! I had fun. made my late run but too little too late!
Maybe next year I should research just a little before instead of just winging it to get to at least top ten status!

Thanks Again!

Man what a great call last night David. You nailed it clean.

Looking at the picks the best I can do is lose the tiebreaker. Worst I tie for second. Foxbat shrewdly nullified the Stanford pick. They've been a great upset special team for me over ythe years.

Wish everyone good luck and an enjoyable last weekend. :-)

Thanks Will. Wish I had been that lucky all season. Also, wish I was watching the Gamecocks at 4. Oh well. Go Mizzou.

Came real close to taking Rice and they are up 14-zip.

OSU looks really sluggish. 0-0.

Today is opening day here, so I'm headed out to my stand in a couple hours. I was glad to see I wouldn't have to sweat the games and spend time watching my phone for results in the stand.

I knew you would take Stanford, I was concerned you would take Michigan State. wink

Yeah I was afraid you'd do that. Honestly I thought about State but just didn't feel it would happen. Ohio State has been getting ready for them for a month.

I'd still rather lose the tiebreak that finish a game back. Hope Mizzou can help me out and Stanford gets it done.

It's been a fun year, though I missed a few weeks during hunting season and dropped out.

Who would of thought Mizzou and Auburn in this years SEC championship.

No kidding. Neither were ranked at the beginning of the season and their total combined wins last season are less than their stand alone 2013 stats.

Where's Moses when I need him?:-)

Go Mizzou.

A smart man wouldn't go against that many favorites. wink

Not the kind if opening day one wishes for. Must be 78degrees, bright sun, and i got cows all around my stand. Guys daughter did get a 10 point this morning 700 yards due south of where im sitting, so might see something, you can bet it will be in the last 15 minutes of legal light though.

I don't know what is worse. Auburn pass defense or Mizzou run defense.

I'll be damned if this isn't tough for an old linebacker to watch! shocked

Auburn sure went and got themselves one heck of a head coach in Gus.
