-33 this morning. Had -42 windchill yesterday. Woke up to a frozen pipe. So much for an easy winter. The wood stove is hungry!

And we have maybe 4 inches of light, puffy snow. We should easily have a foot or more. Now it's too cold to snow. We tend to get most of it before xmas, as Jan and Feb stay too cold for moisture. Hopefully some more dumps and covers the rocks so the skidoo repairs are cheaper.

Was only -24 Communist here this morning, and we have pretty close to two Imperial feet of snow. wink The sleds are screamin'. Some folks have also ventured out onto the lakes -- foolhardy is what I call it.

We've been driving vehicles on ice for over a month.

Funny how we/I switch systems for different things. Never noticed that!

Manning, AB, was the coldest place on the planet earlier this morning at about minus 40, with a windchill of minus 57. Thankfully it's not that cold where I am!

-9 F this morning. Light breeze. On my morning walk/ coyote hunt, I was feeling just a little chilled after an hour and a half. I'll wear another layer tomorrow, I think. GD

Been fairly cold (for the west coast) and windy out here for several days. About -9 C here in Mission this morning, plus heavy gusts of wind all night, bringing it down to about -17 C with wind chill (or "RealFeel" as one idiot website puts it) according to the Weather Network, and bone dry. Would be relatively pleasant if it weren't for the &$*^#$&@ wind.

Stuart;
Top of the morning to you sir!

It's right at -12C this morning here on the hill above OK Falls and for whatever reason - thankfully - its calm thus far.

We've had a windy last few days for sure and as noted it surely has a chilling effect on me these days.

I don't believe I could stand the Saskatchewan winters any longer - the combinations of injuries and age doing what they've done to take a toll on me.

Merry Christmas to you sir and do try to stay warm.

Dwayne

We didn't see any moose yesterday, but we have a couple more days to get one.
We were fortunate enough to get a bull earlier in October, so we are really just making sure those moose don't get to relaxed.
