The bullets I have to reload for this rifle are 220 gr FP Hornady's.

What powder would be the best most accurate to use? I could care less for top velocity.

Re 7 and H 4198 are hard to beat. Re 7 is the most popular choice I believe.

Me, too ... 36 grains of RL7. It takes a drop tube and I still wind up with a compressed load. I'd have to verify by book ... I believe max is 38. There's no way I can get that much in the case.

Accuracy is good, inch and a quarter at 100 yards with a receiver sight.

I quit at 35.0 grains in one of my Big Bores and ten shots would hold around three inches at 100 yds.

My other Big Bore like H 4198 better and 34.0 grains gives excellent accuracy and about 2150fps. Makes nice holes in deer.
