African animals are very tough. Premium bullets strongly recommended. This one fell to a 180 Nosler Accubond out of my 300 win.

This one dropped to a 270 TSX out of my 375 h&h

Namibia and it's people are great and jamey Traut runs a first class operation.

Jamy runs a great operation. My wife and I hunted with him in 2012 and look forward to visiting him and Rentia in Dallas next month.

Yep those hats seem to be a dead give a way at being a green bean 1st timer. I'm sure countless hats just like it are sold and put on a shelf every year. I don't think either of us even put the damn things on after this pic!!

Jamy worked hard to put us on nice trophies. To say we were well pleased with our hunt and results would be a major understatement. Thanks

The Dallas Safari show coming up is one of the reasons I wanted to get this posted now. I'm hoping someone will read it and get headed to Africa. You are spot on .... Jamy & Retina run a 1st class operation and are the most wonderful and gracious hosts you could ask for. Meeting them and their boys was a big treat on the trip. I look forward to hunting with Jamy again in the near future. I gotta kick outta Jameys youngest boy walking out in front of base camp and hunting springbok. He put a couple on the table while we were there.

I really wish I could get to the Dallas show but looks doubtful at this late date. Please tell Jamy & Retina that Mark & Sam from Virginia said hello & thanks again for a spectacular time. Merry Christmas, Sam

we ran into this ranch hand and his family on one of the vast ranches we hunted. These people lived so far back in the boonies and off the grid it was unbelievable. Notice the cart. That and the mules are their transportation. The kids looked at us like we were from outer space. I offered em some hard candy and after some translation they finally came close enough for me to hand it to em and take their picture

HAH! I'm a goober, I have a similar hat and wear it all the time, so it'll go to RSA with me as well.... had a bad sunburn on my neck so from now on I cover the back half of myself as well as I do the face.... So yeah I fit that mold, first timers with a goober hat.

Goober on not if you're heading to Africa wear it. Just means your lucky. I'll probably end up wearing mine too due to sun and the fact that I kinda like it.

I'm a few years away from making such a trip but I'd appreciate it if you could post Jamy's contact info. It looks like you had a great experience.
