Another my stupid friend. So my freind wants me to check out his brand new 375 Ruger. He said that it is completely locked up to the point where he cant even lift the bolt. I asked him how many shots were fired throught it and he said he was about half way through his second box. Any ideas what this might be? I'm thinking It may be a split, bulged, or crack brass case stuck tightly in the chamber............

If the owner fired 30 rounds in one sitting before the bolt locked. It might be that he left a round in a hot chamber too long.
The 375 Ruger is a High Pressure round and works into most rifles safety margin, once it's heated a cartridge can increase the chamber pressure drastically. I'm not familiar with what powder the factory loads a 375 Ruger with to acheive its velocity/pressure. I think that's a trade secret ; still.
This has happened to me just leaving ammo in the cab of my truck .
