Anyone have a lead on who has these in stock? I can't find them anywhere!

Try the SST's if you can find them. My 260 AI shoots them just as well, and to the same spot.

I have right at 1000 of them I'd trade for some 123 Scenars.

Just sell some of those to me GT and then you can buy whatever you want! <smile>
I am curious though, do the Scenars shoot notably better or do you just like the better BC?

I'm not GT, but I'll chime in on the 123 Amax vs. Scenar..... as I've shot a couple hundred of each outta the 6.5x47 and the .260 in the past few weeks. Conclusion: They both pretty much kick azz. The Scenar did turn in the only sub-1/4" 5-shotter, and averaged .4" or so... but the Amax ran sub 1/2" all day, everyday. At longer ranges out to 800 or so, they shot the same... pretty much exactly. I shot the same drop chart for them both. If you want the hard data on it all, send me a PM and I'll send some along with pics and vids. On Fur: The Amax turfs schitt... hard. I blew one through a big blacktail buck at well inside 40 yards, and they hit coyotes like the hammer of Thor. I've killed about a dozen coyotes with 123 Amax, from 60 yards to 450.... every single one of them was down for the count on impact. They turn smaller stuff into wet puzzles in dramatic fashion. I've only shot one coyote with the Scenar (200 yds).... I wasn't too fond of the results, though looking at the pic, I have no clue how this dog wore this hole for pert'near a quarter mile. In: Out:
You better pray to the God of Skinny Punks that this wind doesn't pick up......

So you think the 123 Amax would work fine on deer out of the 260?
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects
I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

I just measured a 123 SST and 123 AMAX. Same length, same bearing surface, same advertised BC. of .510.
No wonder they shoot the same as the AMAX

Very friendly offer. Gotta love the campfire.

I believe my local store has them on the shelf. I will check for you. If not I have a partial box I will give you to get you started. If you'd like.

Thanks for checking bearstalker.
chesterwy, I would be interested in buying your partial box. I have 140g AMax and I would like to try them and the 123g Amax in my rifle and see which shoots best.

I've found the 120g Amax online. The 123g Amax has a significantly better BC and is the one that's difficult to find.

there is a local gun shop that is very well stocked. I walked in and found 105 grain amax on the shelf in .243. When I head over that way this weekend I will look for your 123's.

RD,
I'm looking for some 123s, as well. If there is an abundance, please let me know.
