Just a regular old walleye set-up. I will say that I lost a slightly larger one earlier that day on an identical hook on the same rod, in the same hole. I definitely wasn't targeting sturgeon but it sure made my day to hook onto one. First one I've ever landed, open water or ice.

I'm going to have to get some sort of tracked machine for the lake. Where on earth would you find a contraption like that? I've been keeping my eyes open. If I look hard enough, something will show up.

It's like when you eat a whole bunch of candy & pop then crash. He's crashed now after hunting season. I hear some rumbling over there so he should be back on track by the time the ice is ready for his ice hotel shack.
I wouldn't be totally against going over there & giving him a kick if you guys think it's necessary.

ND's ice fishing game is getting revved up as we type. It should be full-on sometime next week.
He'll have his fantastic stories of snow hammers, ice shanties & widetrack snowmobiles before we know it. Wait. Does ND have a widetrack snowmobile yet? Sorry for bringing it up if not..... :P

must be nice,actually having a use for a snow mobile.
Ive had to pass on two nice ones in the last year or so,
after careful consideration,I figured they would sit about 50 weeks a year.

You have to get out of your little liberal hole down the fluffer. There's a big world nort of 694. . It looks like we'll get to use the about 30 weeks this year. There is a snowmobile trail that runs about 200 yards from my house.

I have a nice snowmobile. Elect start, reverse, nice cushy ride that I can adjust the softness/firmness with a switch on the handlebars, plenty of power, I like the sled I have. If I should happen to sell and buy a different one someday, I will try to get one of these current model wide tracks, they are awesome for an ole man like me.

I'm really liking the new Indy's. I'm hoping the tax man doesn't taketh too much away and I just may have one. It may not be til next season, but I'm going to try. Speakin of winter toys anybody seen the forest river Cherokee cascade fish houses? I've been thinking about biting the bullet and buying a wheel house/camper. The Grand Rapids model looks really nice

Those r some dandy sleds. Don't cae what u say! I love the widetrak tho just for my use now may just go lxt! Da Bomb! Oh! I just got off the lake and we kept 19 eyes today and had our own bombadier! Bright yellow!

Rooster7, I saw them at the Ice Show.. They are nice... If your a handy man maybe think of getting a Yetti and finishing it off yourself.....
For fun check out Custom Cottage.. They had a house at the show a 24footer for 45k....
