Picked it up on my trip to Pennsylvania. Waiting on ammo from Cabela's so I can take it to the range.
Any idea of manufacture date? Serial Number is B1122XX(I think).

Made in 1972 but we'll have to see what "according to Rons records" has to say.
Could be an F, DL, C, etc... whatcha got?

I am not familiar enough with the different models. I have not looked it up in Murray's yet. It has a rotorey magazine and brass counter and pressed checkering.

F or a DL.
Does the side of the barrel say "99F" or "99M" on it?

If it has just a regular stock it's an F, if it has a monte carlo style stock it's a DL.

Were not all of the 99 F's, ( pre and post mil), clearly marked as such?

Yes they were, same with the DL's.
They were both marked on the right side of the barrel near the frame with either 99F or 99M for the DL.
