I stumbled into Schnee's downtown and lightened my wallet.

Is Russ Chatham's place in Livingston still there? I think it was called the Livingston Bar&Grill or similar

Ale works is never a bad choice.

The Olive Garden if you think Italian is from Texas.

More upscale:

14 North... pretty darn good.

Fin... new, working out the kinks. Could be great in time.

John Bozeman's Bistro... Generally good these days.

Open Range... over-priced, wanna-be cuisine.

Dave's Sushi, a complete joint... excellent sushi.

7-Sushi, 1/3 mile from my house, very good sushi.

Ted's... predictable, but reliable (a chain).

The Bay... ditto above.

Belgrade:

Damasco's... I wish it were in Bozeman.

He sold it years ago, and it went belly up from what I understand.

Will definitely try that in the morning. Enjoyed a nice meal at Montana Ale Works, thanks for the recommendation Ingwe! Sipping a Lost Continent Double IPA. Life is good.

Now if I can find a hidden stash of Model 70's and Brno's.......

Chatham is back in San Francisco, his grill hasn't been gone too long.

2nd Street Bistro is the best in Livingston, though 14 North in Bozeman stole their chef.

Arby's is on north 7th, I miss that the most....grin

That and The Bay, it was about a 5 minute walk from our apartment. Wasted a lot of money in that place, hot college girl waitress(which is pretty common in town).

Damn, I really do miss Bozeman a little!

Whitebird, what did you find at Schnee's?

I just got a new pair of their pac boots in the mail on Monday.

Very comfortable pac boots!

Ate at the Bay this afternoon... they've had their ups and downs, but in the years we've been here, pretty darn good none the less.

Waitress was cute laugh

And it's in a mall, which I think is a little strange, but is fine territory for gazing at the milfs as well!

Is Willow Creek bar open during the week or just weekends?

They have decent food and excellent soup. I've only ever eaten there for lunch so I can't speak to supper.

I think they are open during the week. I'd heard a lot about it, but have only eaten there once. My girlfriend and I were returning home one day last summer and decided to try it. The place was packed, but they fit us in. The ribs were definitely worth the out of way detour.
