Would a guy need to build an AR from the ground up? All parts will be built. No complete assemblies will be purchased. What size punches will i need to put it together?

I cant seem to find this info anywhere... frown

Thanks.

Brownells sells an entire kit of roll pin punches exactly for the purpose you describe.

You'll need a roll pin punch set, barrel wrench, torque wrench, upper receiver holder, and they make a block to drop in the mag well to hold the lower. The pin on the bolt catch needs a flat side roll pin punch. Also the front take down pin needs a special tool to install it. You can get away with less but they make life much easier. I build 16 this year between me and my friends.
