I have Rocky's version of the VCM Hunter and use the heck out if it around here.

Glad you like them. I have them all. smile

I've used the Reno and the VCM. Just received the Mule Deer.

Not much of a folder guy, but I really like that one. It's one on my list of knife patterns to consider. Love the holster too.

This is a VCM hunter ,it is a shortened up butcher. You can field dress, skin & process meat too. Plus it'd make a great kitchen & camp tool, too

Just a great knife

Vince,
That is an interesting design that in the hand is wonderfully useful. I bought Rocky's version of that knife from you this past fall and have used it for everything from dressing out a mess of rainbow trout to skinning and processing four whitetails so far. I also use it often in the kitchen.

I've got a lot to learn about photographing knives!

Anyways: from top to bottom; VCM Hunter, Mule Deer, Reno.

I like the fish knife pattern just the way it is set up. That would be handy.

Rick got the pattern from Bret and added some dimension to the handle and used 5/32 stock instead of 1/8th. Has a nice full handled feel to it.
