I still enjoy the occasional opportunity to spin out in open parking lots to stay in practice with the turning skills. Taught my three sons to drive at a very early age(8) by having them steer while driving around asphalt parking lots in the Twin Cities area on Sunday mornings after church when there was virtually no traffic and spin outs were relatively safe as long as you missed the light standards!

Another good way is on lake ice that is thick enough before too much snow.

Lake ice and small towns sliding sideways around every block. It's what the kids call drifting now a days. lol Dang traction control in my truck won't spontaneously allow me to do that anymore and it makes me look way more responsible then I am!

I believe the bridge is near Buxton ND, and I have seen many vehicles with the shiny side down...
Yep I believe you're right. That's a wicked SOB in the winter

You can shut that traction control off rooster. At least in non-chevy's you can.

Just got back from the Brooklyn Park Gun Show. About what I expected. Most of the ammo was fairly priced, with the exception of 22 RF, of course. Only saw one table with any ammount of it, and he was pretty much double of retail at Wal-Mart, but he did have some. Didn't see him sell any while I was there. Lots of militaria to look at, from guns to web gear, etc. 'Saw on 99EG priced at $575.00 in 300 Savage. I thought it was a little high. Wood was decent, bluing pretty much gone in all the usual spots. Junk something or other scope on top of it. Picked up on .50 cal. ammo can for $16.00, but that was it.

Glad you made it home safe Rooster. Thanks Bill! How far below the donut are you guys over there in sconnie? I think we are around -20 and dropping.

Man, if that gun could talk! It does. It says "BANG" every time you pull the trigger.

We are at -13. We've shot past our high of -9 and are shooting down to our low of -28. Which is probably your high tomorrow eh Rooster?

Probably. Once you get below zero, it doesn't much matter anymore. I know one thing...that new furnace has been a dang good investment!

I'm sure it won't be around long. It was absolutely flawless. Too pretty to D&T for mounts/rings/swivels. I could put a peep on it. I don't have any gun I wouldn't hunt, so it would see the woods, but I guarantee it hasn't seen the woods.

Temp will be on the slide all day long. Low tonight will be anywhere from minus 27* to - 33*. Some reports say the front is stalling out and the extreme cold is going to stick around for at least another day. Could be worse, like 110* in the shade.
