Sir, I sent you a pm regarding blue dot data for 30-06 and 30-30.
I have recently gotten fired up on creating different loads for these two rifles so my son and I can shoot some cheaper and lighter loads for fun!

I tried to respond to your PM, and my computer shut it down claiming it was a reported dangerous site.... I have no idea why.
So, for data, using 150 gr. bullets for both, for the .30-30, IMR 4227 is at maximum at 20 grs. for 1905 fps. I've found that the "H" version runs the same as the IMR version, BTW.
In the '06, it's 30 grs. for 2310 fps.
With IMR 4198, it's 28 grs. for 2210 fps., for the .30-30, and in the '06 it is 38 grs. for 2600 fps.
You can also use 110 gr. bullets in the '06. 32 grs. of IMR 4227 for 2730 fps., or 39.5 grs. of IMR 4198 for 2980 fps.
Thses are maximum loads. Work up to them. Your best accuracy may not be at maximum. E

Rumors have it that Seafire has been out of town for a couple of months, and his home computer with all that info in it has been in the shop getting some hardware updates....

but glad to see you were taken care of, courtesy of Dan the Man and Mr E.

as far as 30/30 data... Blue Dot gave disappointing results...

on the other hand SR 4759 gave great results... loads with 150 grain bullets or less in weight, 15 to 20 grains work great for accuracy....

a good plinking load commonly used at Seafire's house is 10 grains of Unique either using a 150 grain Lead Bullet, or a 110 grain bullet, of any of the various ones available on the market...

Granted, it was only 50 yards with peeps... (Lyman 311041 cast, M94 30-30)

my 30/30s will do that with SR 4759, but not with Blue Dot... in fact the 30/30 is the only cartridge I have experienced disappointing results with Blue Dot...

or maybe you are just a better shot than I am...
