I jut asked someone about the new "county" singers.
The reply was, "They are a bunch of punks, with long hair, and tattoos."

I'll go back to country music when men come back to play it. Man, what a bunch of howling bedwetters we have today.

Nashville didn't help country at all. All of it is what I call chocolate covered dogshit. All of it is novelty B.S.. Come on man, rockin the beer gut, REALLY, that is what country has been reduced to! Nashville is giving the mass idiots what they want.

There was a study done a few years ago my friend was telling me about that he read I think in Forbes magazine. The study was on that IQ range people that listened to different types of music had. Rap scored the lowest (big flippin surprise) followed by country and then rock, metal and so on.

People that listened to classical had the highest average. Metal had good score to and that doesn't surprise me cause it is a technical form of music, lots of time signatures, scales and crazy cord progressions. I am a metal head but I'm sure not that smart but smart enuff to not listen to rap or new country.

This is good news. I listen to classical music constantly.

"Some call it country, I call it bad rock and roll." From the Geezinslaw Brothers some years ago, and it's only gotten worse since then.

If I want "country Music" I'll listen to the likes of the Sons of the Pioneers or some Bluegrass. Never did care much for what's called country western music.
Only time it really gets to be to much, is if you have to listen to it several hours a day.

That said, I gotta tell ya, I have been hearing some white guys doing rap lately, and my dislike for country music pales in comparison.
Rap is worse than Disco was by far and probably the worst chit to ever hit the airwaves.

I remember when it used to be called 'country western' music...I mention that phrase to people now and they don't know what I'm talking about.

I lived in NW Colorado decades ago and all you heard was Sons of the Pioneers on the Craig station(that also got old). At least Roy took off his hat when he entered a room or sat down to dinner--and he never wore a stoopid leather hat. Today's country boyos should be called the castratis. And, who writes their music, crap like, ''Baby, baby, I'll do the dishes for you''?

What is wrong with this:

I'd readily agree that most of the stuff in that video sucks and blows (but not Jason Aldean). Problem is, I remember country music back in the "good ole days" and a lot of it sucked balls as well. Remember "Dave and Sugar"?

The Nashville Sound? All that [bleep] was nothing but Nashville suits (none of whom listen to country themselves) trying to sell records to tone deaf kids. Nothing new here.

This is sad to me. I just learned that Ray Price died recently at the age of 87.

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/influential-country-music-singer-ray-price-dies-at-87/

It's hard to believe at the age of 80 he was still singing. He had the same voice and tone only a slight quiver to his voice. This just seven years back.
