Yep, just like Big game it hails a$$ with lighter bullets. It's a simple matter of which one your rifle likes best!

My gun already likes 120 ttsx with big game and I can get my hands on a few pounds of cfe which is rare now a days. But I have seen your earlier posts x-verminator and I will definitely give it a try. My 7-08 is already finished as far as a hunting load goes (140 accubond @2900) but I'm experimenting with 120's right now to see if I can break 3200 fps in a 20" bbl.

I'm running Hodgdon's max load of 49.5 gr CFE-223 in the wife's 24" barreled 7-08ai, and getting 3180-3200 fps with the 120 gr TTSX. Her gun shoots CFE more accurately than BG. YMMV.

Don't know about safely breaking 3200 in a 20" barrel as all of mine are 22"....I kind of doubt it though. I will just say this, whatever Big Game will do in your gun CFE-223 will likely do just a bit faster (25-50fps)......

Well just got back and 51 gr gave me 3200 fps with a 120 ballistic tip. This was in a 20" bbl finnlight. Looks good so far

thats was with Remington brass, wlr primer and accuracy was 1.5" at 200 yards. It's probably better but trying to shoot good groups at 200 with a 3-9 is difficult. Next days off I will be out to try it again with one more grain of powder.

I did play just a little with some 2000MR that I got my hands on as it's suppose to be pretty promising in the 140-145 weight class. What little playing I did with it didn't show me what I was hoping, but I've got to get back to "playing" before I've made any conclusions with it.

What rifle are you shooting? I have a Browning BLR 7mm-08 and am looking to get a bolt action 7mm-08. Just curious. Thanks

Don't know what 243win is shooting, but I'm shooting a Marlin X7. It's been a heck of a rifle for the money spent. My hunting load, and the load I've developed the best thus far is 139gr hornady btsp clocking 2820 pushed by Varget. I get about .75 groups all day long with it.

Those BLRs are nice rifles. My good buddy has one in 243.

my 7-08 is a sako 85 finnlite. If you can spend that kind of money they are sweet. Really long throat to. I can seat out to 2.90" with the 140's and I have these 120's at 2.85". Money well spent.

Thanks 243Win. Appreciate the reply. The Sakos are nice. Don't mean to hijack the thread. Thanks again.
