All this brush/roller talk. I cant help but think this could be handled with a moderate acetylene gas charge centered in a 3 gallon plastic bag of paint. Open the windows so they don't blow out. Put all the food away, take the wall calendar and clock down. Go outside and spark it off. Boom! Done. Go fishing, you are a hero, you deserve it. Your country thanks you. I like the way.... I think. I am going to propose this to my wife. It will probably take her 10 seconds or so to realize I don't actually want to try it.

Hey,you asked my preference. I would give the cabinets a good scrubbing with a few sanding sponges ,enough to remove all dirt and oxidation, and give them the best paint job you can. make sure your paint is compatible with the old finish( most are) and your results should be great. Yeah, I would definitely go new, built to the space boxes if I was staying here. Thanks for the painting advice. I think I am just going to do it myself. The surfaces are flat, and (famous last words) it shouldn't be that bad.....

Just cover them with wallpaper. Problem solved. Don't even get me started on that Bill! I have a lot of work to do in my kitchen and removing wallpaper that was painted over is part of it! If I remember correctly it took the wife and I nearly 2 weeks to get the wallpaper and glue off of our bathroom wall so we could paint it. We would work on it for 2/3 hours at a time than quit for the day. I swear we could have put up new drywall and painted it in less time. We tried everything on the glue and what worked best was a mixture of Dawn dish soap and warm water. A steamer might have done the job too.

Just ordered Cabelas Predator Extreme Pac Boots. They have a good online sale going right now. I have heard great things about them.

I may actually just gut the whole kitchen Bill. It won't be done for at least 1 year, but more like two. I could make it pretty modern with a full gut.

Make sure you guys doing the Spring turkey hunting treat your cloths and look out for the ticks.
We've seen a lot of Lyme's the last few years.

Just ordered Cabelas Predator Extreme Pac Boots. They have a good online sale going right now. I have heard great things about them. I owe you a beer or two. I really need new "cold" weather boots, and they had my size, so I got a pair as well. Between points and the sale, the reviews have me thinking that they are going to be worth what I paid and more.

Turkeys don't care about scent. Apearantly deer don't either. A few years ago while turkey hunting in WI, a buck deer with about 8" of horn growth, literally sniffed my boot. I was sitting against a tree on the edge of a corn field. He walked the edge of the field and came up with in a few feet and sniffd my boot. Didn't seem to be bothered until I twitched my foot...the he turned himself inside out. As did I.

51 degree temp change since yesterday morning. We've gone from minus 27 to 24 above. Not sure I can handle the heat.
