Can anyone give me the low down on this fella? I just like knowing a bit about some of these guys, if there is anything. Been watching him produce some cool stuff over on BladeForums & it seems like his stuff SELLS! His knives are flat out awesome in my opinion. I gotta get my hands on one someday, me thinks.

I have a blade from him, last one. It is forged 0-1 flat ground, tapered tang. I'm going to put a handle on it soon Nick does forged & stock removal. I think his lower end basic hunter utility type knives fetch like $300. and up.

Thanks Vince! His website says he is not currently taking orders so I'd assume that he is stacked up. Just more or less wanting to hear bout his work from others.

Randy has a knife I put a handle on one of Nicks blades and he used it so maybe he can chime in. Grinds are great , they seem to be great cutters.

I have worked my Wheeler blade hard. Damn near abused it. Great grind, edge retains well. I have noticed I spend another couple of minutes touching them up.

Vince put African Blackwood scales on the knife and between the blade and those scales this knife will out last me.

The guy does some fantastic work judging by his ad's. His Bowies are awesome. I hope to own one of his, one of these days.

Hoop,it is a very hard thing to put into words.

But for sure if you actually tried your hand at it,even the tail end simplest part of it,like just putting a handle on a blade, then & only then you might understand it.

I know of many many knifemakers who hate that dammed orders book, but they need it.

I know of many who will not take an order.

The knives that makers build ,not for orders, but yet just while being creative,in some cases may be of the best they've ever done.

There are some makers I never would order a knife, yet just let them run with the ball. Sometimes it's the best way.

Wheeler pops up on Bladeforums with a knife FS here & there.

Here is a nice drop point FS here Seller is Bill in Canada an old time knife bud of mine Good Guy

Nick is one of the best in the bidness. He is also one of the most anal retentive OCD cats in the bidness, so his fit and finish is immaculate!! LOL
