Family planning an Orlando Disney World trip in February. My SIL and I would like to carve a day out for a fishing charter. Does February rule this out this far north? If not are there any outfit recommends east of Orlando on the coast without hours of driving?
Thanks.

if your talking inshore fishing for trout redfish etc. anyplace along the indian river would have guides. say from coco beach south. for off shore fishing there would be less choices as marinas with charter fleets would be fewer. your best bet would be ft. pierce city marina. it has a sizable charter fleet. it is a very good location for sailfishing which would be prime that time of year. a long time charter boat there would be the floridian captianed by a man named cameron. but there are others.

Call Capt John Lulay in Cocoa, Mongo redfish galore. Here in. Stuart, Mike Holliday is the best in Martin County. Ft Pierce is hit or miss, world record trout caught there in the 90s,

Sailfish anywhere between Pompano Beach and Ft. Pierce, very close in from Stuart south, like right off the beach at times. You will also have a shot at some blackfin tuna and maybe some kingfish. A little early for dolphin.

there are a few very good female charter fishing guides. actually theres no connection between fishing and having a captains license. other than you need one in order to take paying passengers fishing.
