Talke to remingto about what color my rifle is and they told me it is "satin blue" I though about having them refinish the barreled action but they couldn't tell me how close they'd come to the original color.., any help? Anyone ever have remmy do a re finish? I imagine someone else may take more time/better job type situation. Looking to get a barreled action done.

You might try calling Phil at Glenrock Blue. http://gunbluing.com/

I've had Phil blue several and have been very pleased. So far I've done the surface prep on all but one and had him do the blue. The one exception was a sporterized Swede M38. Fellow I did the work for wanted gloss blue comparable to that of my Monson Mass Dan Wesson. Sharp edges were sharp, screw holes weren't funneled and the blue itself had real depth to it. Looked great.
