Been thinking of picking up a new model Vaquero for grins.

I see Lipsey's has them with a Bisley grip.

What would that get me - exactly? Any advantage over the regular grip?

No definite plans to do SASS/CSA shooting but if it works... mebbe.

Thoughts?

I can't speak for Ruger, but in a Colt with the same load, it seems like there is less felt recoil than in the standard SAA...

Ooo - I like that a lot. I had thought/planned on a 357/38 spc NMV so I don't know if I'd really need the Bisley just for recoil reduction then.

Thanks for the pic and insight.

Old thread Teal, but FWIW...

If you have large hands, and XL sized gloves fit you, the Bisley grip may be a better fit for you than the standard Ruger frame.

I'm one of the old guys that likes the SBH with the Dragoon grip, it fits me batter. The Bisley grip points better for me, and just has a better overall "feel" than the standard BH grip frame. As far as recoil, it's subjective, I don't think there is a lot of difference.

I have a Single Six, old Vaquero in .45LC, SBH in .44M with Bisley grips, and like every one of them.
