There is a lot of debate on what a Sako is. I, for one, feel they quit making Sako rifles at the time they went to CNC produced guns. This could be argued, but after the changes that have been made since Sako was bought out by Beretta and newer manufacturing methods, the Sako we knew and appreciated no longer exists.
The 461 you are referring to is of the era that they still made high quality guns. The stainless barrel is a replacement and triggers on Sakos are silver in color, so unless it has been modified, it could be the original trigger.
I am sure your M995 is a good gun, but the fit and attention to detail was still a personal concern with the L461 and the M995 is more like a mass-produced gun with little character...
