And the most popular calibres are; 6.5x55(by far), 243win, 308win and 270win, other 6.5mm calibres are also very popular.
I'm surprised not to the 7X57 in the mix.

7x57 was not used by the Nordic militaries IIRC. Surplus rifles in 6.5x55 are far more available.

.308 is a very popular caliber in Finland and used for all game animals from small to big. Rifles: Tikka, Sako, CZ and some others also.

I have four Finn Mosin Nagants. An M24, an M27, an M28, and an M39. I also have three Finn captured Mosin Nagants, with the SA stamp. An M91 New England Westinghouse, an M91 Remington, and a 91/30. Still looking for a P26.

Nothing spells rifle looney like a bunch of rifles and ammo stored under a messy bed...

Don't forget Finnish Valmet O/U shotguns, combination guns, and double rifles, sometimes all three on one receiver (no, Bubba, not at the SAME TIME!!!!). They sure as heck didn't export ALL of 'em!
Was Mike Armstrong. Got logged off; couldn't log back on. RE-registered my old call sign, Mesa. FNG. Again. Mike Armstrong

I would love to go to Finland on a hunt. Growing up where I did the majority of the folks were Finnish (including my wife) and the street signs were in English and Finn. Some day a visit indeed and I will have to check on the price of a hunt.

Nah, they're in a closet beside the bed! Except the loaded pistol in my headboard, of course!
