Bought a compact 22 LR a few months ago and am really impressed with function and accuracy. Great trigger.

I have the compact in .22 mag. Great shooter.
Way better than any 77/.22 I ever owned at 1/2 the price.

I'd have preferred the LR in the compact but the full size has a good feel to it

I have one in 22 mag that is a real shooter. It will ONLY shoot Hornady or Remington ammo though, everything else is a pattern, not a group.... With the Hornady or Rem is under an inch at 100 and just rips one hole at 50.

Bought one end of august, replaced the trigger spring pull is now 1 1/4lb. I'm loving it just about the best $300 spent next to my Wifama.

Still mighty fond of mine, although I haven't shot it since some plinking during deer season at camp in early December. If it ever warms up again, off it goes to the range.

Does the RAR use the same mag as the 10/22?

Has anyone tried to see if it'll feed longs or shorts?

Thanks

Lots of modern 22s won't. Guess that's where CB longs come in. grin

4th.point - I believe from the pix's that they are medium Sig Zee's. When the .17HMR version becomes available That's what I'll be ordering. Very nice rings. Homesteader.

The magazines are narrower than the 10/22 from what I have read.

I'd own one if they had the same barrel setup as the 10/22.

Ruger seems to think the .22 LR 10/22 mags work in a RAR .22 LR rifle. From their Website:

Models chambered in .22 LR feature the detachable, flush-mounted 10/22 BX-1 10-round rotary magazine. Accepts all 10/22 magazines, including the BX-25 and BX-25x2.

Models chambered in .22 Magnum and .17 HMR use the detachable, flush-mounted JMX-1 9-round rotary magazine.

I'd bet $100 it'll happen with the American before it dos with the 77/22.

In our CAD/CAM cnc world, new Investment cast tooling is actually more expensive than parts milled from computer files and bar stock.

I'd like to see a series of left hand American in both Centerfire and rimfire versions for the distaff folks.

I can't rember where I read it had different magazines, but I'm glad to be wrong!

mediums with weaver no.12 mounts. You can just about slip a credit card between the scope and rear sight.
