Local shop is getting in 80 cases next week of Federal 525 round bulk packs. $300/case first come, first served - he won't ship, but if you're in MT and in need of some ammo it might be worth a trip. PM for store location - and no I won't buy any and ship it to you.

I think we have some substantial tonnage here in Oregon, but none of it is on store shelves.

Are you sure about the price? I thought the international.22 Long Rifle conspiracy was driving the price up.
I also wonder if any Suburbans full of families will be by-passing the local Wal-Mart line-up and heading for NE Montana.

Oh, yeah, it's definitely gouging.
The last time I bought any of those 525-round Federal hollow-points I paid $25, and that was 3-4 years ago. Picked up a 400-round pack of the cheaper Federal version for $20 last fall before the big panic.
No doubt you expect to pay $10 a brick for .22 Long Rifle, because that's what you paid 30 years ago.

The bricks of Eagle are usually 400-rounders.

Dink But that's NOT by the individual brick..is it? And they sure as hell did not include shipping at that price, did they? Your screen name is very apt.. It perfectly describes your mental capacity.

You said per brick, but never mind.
Did the price you quoted include shipping? That would be a pretty good deal.

Last I checked, American Eagle hollow points were 400/brick and solids were 500/brick.

When I ordered they told me the price had increased to $290 per case. When I mentioned that price was to high they let me order under the quoted price of $229. I am sure my next order will be $290 a case. This same place was selling them for $170ish a case just 14 months ago. I doubt components/ raw material has gone up in cost as much as ammo has. I am sure the gun shop that is selling these for $300 case is making anymore money per case than they did a year ago. I bet the manufacture is making more than they did a year ago. Dink

Haha! Always complaining about the price of things DINK. I'm just glad that I can pick up a couple more cases and not have to pay gun show prices. Judging by the number of PM's that I've gotten, so are a lot of other guys.

I ain't complaining about nothing. Just responding to muledeers post about 22LR not going up in price. Which it is/has for no reason.
$300 a case for bulk is the new norm. Which is %50 price increase in 14 months despite what some people believe.
I think the days of $200 a case bulk 22 ammo is long gone.

Montana has just initiated a new policy this year and is allowing out of state hunters to buy a combination big game license and a case of 22 ammunition for only $199.00. This is an effort to try and elevate the poor perception by out of state hunters about the FWP licensing practices...
