Going to load some for the first time and the only powder I have on the shelf that my manuals show for 65's is 4895. Anyone used this combo before? Results? Or do I need to look into finding another powder. I also have 4350 but that seems to be used for heavier stuff in 243

4895 & 55-75's in the 243 is never a bad choice. Burnt a lot of that in the 2 I have.

4895 is a good choice. It works with a lot of cartridges.

You don't have any, but I've burnt a ton of 3031 with 70-75 gr bullets. If you ever buy more powder, you might consider some. It's the cat's pa-tout.

before you put much effort into developing a load, make sure you'll be able to get the 65 gr V Max bullets...

they are on the suspended list last time I asked about them...

41.7 gr. of Varget for my Rem. 700, .243, 24" bbl. I get around 3600 FPS loading 65 gr. Vmax. This is a very accurate load in my .243. BTW, always start 10% lower and work up to an accurate laod. MTG
