It just started raining and it is 29f according to my thermometer. We have dodged several icy bullets this winter but this looks serious. miles

Yea! Here in Cherokee Village we dodged a biggie in Dec. Since then I have backup heat and a generator in place. Hope I don't ha tea use either one.

Here in Moutain Home I can hardly see across the road. My driveway was completely melted before it started less than hour ago. Now we have close to an inch. 28 degrees and the snow is really wet. Supposed to dump 3-5". Of course they cancelled school again so I can pretty much kiss any breaks goodbye till June.

Well here in balmy Wyoming we have 0 degrees and is snowing and blowing 20 to 30 miles per hr from the North.-10 below tonight. Tuesday -4 for a high and -10 at night. Thursday more snow, 4 above and -6 at night. Fun Fun Fun.

I thought I would give an update. We have a layer of ice on the trees and grass but very little on the roads, here. It was 27f when it started but warmed up to 33 as the day went on. Also the rain that was falling, was warmer than the temp at the ground so a lot ran off instead of sticking. We ended up getting 0.85 inches of rain but just a quarter inch or less of ice on the trees and power lines. Never lost power. Looks like we dodged another bad one, but coming back this week end, according to the weather guessers. miles

I was gonna be headed out this morning to hunt Aoudads, but the ongoing threat of an ice storm has me housebound. My womenfolk cant hook up the generator if power goes out.

Typically by the end of Feb. most ice is over here and snow prevails if we get winter weather. This year has not been typical and I might get bit. miles
