Got a 99 suburben off Craig's list for 2500 it's a hd 2500 with vortec big block. 4 10 gears
It ran like crap when I got it. New plugs wires and cap and rotor really woke it up. And fresh gas. Had original plugs in it.. It has 140k and is like bran new except for a few scratches in the paint

The paint color matches my travel trailer prefect
Has new tires on front but needs new ones on back.
I have to get rid of about 2 rows of seats tho. Can't imagine hauling 9 people around. But think of the guns and ammo I can haul to Montana this summer..

About a year ago, I sold a solid 1996 Suburban 1500 4x4, 5.7L V8, 242,000 miles for twice that amount.
You got a great deal.

It seems when a vehicle gets 100k they think its wore out. Really...... I have a 93 chevy pu. Has 300k and never touched the motor except for water pump altimeter and such. Shoot 100k is still new to me..

I have a '99 4x4 Suburban 1500 with the 5.7 Vortec that's the same color configuration as the OP's and just turned over 105K yesterday. There's times I think a "newer" four door pickup would be nice, but then I remember that would entail payments and I haven't had a car payment in seven years. I can't say it's been flawless (head gasket, A/C compressor, fuel pump, power steering pump, brakes), but nothing too out of the ordinary for a 15 year old vehicle.

My wife has a '99 Chevy suburban 1500 4x4 with the Vortec 350 with 115,000 miles on it, and it gets 20 mpg on the freeway. Nothing has went wrong with it except for the reaction sun shell, which is a common problem with this year of suburban. I pulled the old one out myself and put the new one in ($52.00 part). I only gave my wife a 50,000 mile warranty with that one though  .. Awesome rigs and they will go way over 200,000 on the odometer. The OP got a hell of a good deal.
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA
