I'm not sure I'd be disappointed with any of the trucks listed. Personally I'd like an early 70's F250 with a 5.9 Cummins in it or a really healthy 514 BB Ford in it on about 37" tires, d60 front with ARB, coilovers up front, hydro assist, etc. 10.5" sterling or 14bolt FF out back with a Detroit.

Yep.
A diesel Hilux would suit me fine.

Me too...

Up until a couple of months ago, I would have agreed, until my dad bought a new Tacoma... Lemme tell you, they ain't designed for 6'6" tall, 330 lb. guys...

I could like that ford, with a long bed, Cummins, 6-speed manual, and whatever it takes to get the turning radius under 100 yards.

...and decent mirrors, and a 22RE 5-speed toyota pickup so I never have to park that beast in town.

Dream truck?

I'd have to pick my 2012 Toyota Tundra....except it'd be paid for. A dream indeed.

You'd think that with all the trucks on the roads up here they'd size parking lots accordingly, but nooooo.

9 times out of 10 its an idiot in a prius or a tiny little SUV that somehow manages to take up 2 parking spots.

I'm starting to think that my 4-door long bed dodge doesn't qualify for the "compact cars only" zone.

My 08 Dodge has all that. I've never measured the turning radius but it's less than 100'. Can't be an inch over 92'. The thing is 23' long so parking lots can be a treat. Actually, there's only thing I don't like about it - the bed height. I know they have to make it high for ground clearance, but it seems excessively high. It can be darn hard to even get something out of the back without climbing in.

this, except it would be the older, smaller Taco. Small, light, nimble, economical. If I need to carry or tow, I've got a 3/4 ton, a two ton and a semi. For general use, a small pickup is infinitely more useful. The right tool for the job.

First requirement - Bench seat. Second requirement - carburetor. Third requirement - NOT A DODGE. The possibilities are endless after that.

I have wanted a J10 jeep for the last couple of years. Seven foot bed, not short but not long either. Bench seat, love'em! Rear sliding glass. Vent knob that is acually a knob for the vent. The thing is 4wd but you can get into the bed without climbing the rear wheel. Its so simple even I can work on it. And last but not least the awesome old school wing windows. My dream truck and my cousin won't sell me his.
